Growth: My One Word and Goal for 2016
As I tie up lose ends for 2015, I've been thinking what should be my one word for 2016. That one word that will be my theme for this new year. And the word GROWTH is a perfect fit.
definition of GROWTH (noun)
- the process of increasing in physical size.
- the process of developing or maturing physically, mentally, or spiritually.
- the process of increasing in amount, value, or importance.
Many people who know me....or about me at least....know I'm all about growth in all it's forms. But for the past few years my own personal growth was stunted. In part due to life circumstances, but also in part to myself.
At some point, I stopped watering, feeding and giving sunshine to ME.
So instead of becoming what I was on my way to BE....I came to a pause. I kinda know when and how it happened. But sadly I didn't know how to un-pause that moment. I ended up in an area of my life were I couldn't grow comfortably. There was no room to move mentally, stretch emotionally or jump within my spiritual soul.
I was cramped, uncomfortable and so not happy.
But the amazing thing about growing "things" is while they can be boxed in for a time, you can't stop them from growing. And eventually the growth will expand and break out.
And that is what happened to me in 2015. I expanded and broke out. And now in 2016 it's time for me to continue to grow, bloom and bear my fruit.
It's going to be an amazing year!
