During the year Pepcom hosts different showcase events, where top technology companies meet with different types of press to showcase their latest and hottest products and tech devices. A few weeks ago I attended Pepcom's "Wine, Dine & Demo" showcase to get a first look at some of the latest technology happening now.

During the showcase I met with many brands exhibiting at Pepcom's Wine, Dine & Demo event. Here are a few that stood out with products and services I felt my readers should know about.

Kingston Technology announced their 25 years anniversary as the largest third-party manufacturer of computer and memory devices. I spent a long time at the Kingston booth learning about their variety of memory products, USB Flash Drives, and their Wi-Drive

The Kingston's Wi-Drive is a portable, wireless storage for your mobile devices, including iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Android devices, Kindle Fire and more. Wi-Drive lets you store and share your content. It gives you up to 128GB of added storage for your mobile device and lets you share photos, videos, music and more with three or more users on their own mobile device. Access Wi-Drive through any Internet browser or download one of the free Wi-Drive Apps to access and easily share the content on your Wi-Drive.

Analogix Semiconductor, showcased their new line of SlimPort® accessories feature a microUSB adapter that connects SlimPort or MyDP (Mobility DisplayPort) enabled mobile phones and tablets to any HD projector, TV, computer or monitor for multi-display productivity and big screen entertainment.

Model SP1002 is the first in the series of four supporting microUSB cables and adapters, and is available in both the US and Europe on Amazon for $29.99 (USD). Analogix has also launched, www.SlimPortConnect.com where consumers can find information about SlimPort devices and accessories, the benefits, where to buy and more.

Lenovo showcased their line of convertible laptops designed for Windows 8/RT. The touch-optimized line included:

• IdeaPad Yoga 13, a foremost blend of play and productivity 
• IdeaPad Yoga 11, a svelte, all day mobile companion 
• IdeaTab Lynx, a premier dual core Intel Atom-based tablet 
• ThinkPad Twist, for professionals a business-ready device that puts a new spin on the traditional convertible tablet

Brookstone featured a few of their latest Bluetooth connected gadgets and Brookstone Design Center innovation including

• Big Blue Media Tower (MSRP: $399.99) an all-in-one music and TV sound system. Big Blue Media Tower is a 38-inch high, sleek vertical sound-bar that can be streamed wirelessly from any Bluetooth enabled smartphone, tablet or computer. Non-Bluetooth televisions can also be connected for an upgraded sound system through the optical decoding jack and included six-foot optical cable. 
• Scanner Mouse (MSRP: $99.99) a computer mouse that features a built-in scanner for documents and photos. While holding the Smart Scan button on the left side of the mouse, freely glide the mouse over the document in any pattern and the image is stitched together on the screen. Images can be saved as a variety of files including JPEG, TIFF, PNG, BMP, XLS, DOC and PDF which can be directly uploaded to Facebook, Twitter, Flickr or email.

Barnes & Noble / NOOK Media showed off their new NOOK HD, their claimed lightest and highest-resolution 7-inch tablet, and NOOK HD+, their claimed world’s lightest, lowest priced full HD tablet – plus the highly acclaimed NOOK Simple Touch with GlowLight and more from the award-winning NOOK portfolio



While I highlighted these 5 specific brands and their products, there were other companies who deserve an honorable mention. Due to limits restrains and some booths to busy for me to get some info, I don't have as much info about the offering from the following companies as I hoped for.

T-Mobile will have two Windows Phone 8 devices including the Windows Phone 8X by HTC, which has a 4.3-inch HD-resolution super LCD 2 screen, a powerful dual-core processor, fast speeds running on T-Mobile’s HSPA+42 network and immersive studio-quality sound with Beats Audio.

T-Mobile will also be the first U.S. carrier to preload EA’s Need For Speed™ Most Wanted game on the Galaxy Note II. This T-Mobile exclusive version of the game will be optimized to interact with a MOGA mobile gaming system, bringing an immersive, console-quality gaming experience to the palms of T-Mobile customers’ hands.

Samsung Electronics showed its Samsung LED 9000 flagship television, a 75-inch LED HDTV, thats less than 1.4 inches thick and comes with a webcam that slides up and down out of the top back of the TV. It also has an app store, and it can be controlled using your voice, motion or a touch control.

Cricket, a prepaid wireless services with no long-term contracts, showed available smartphone including the 'Groove from Cricket,' the carrier's newest Muve Music Android smartphone, the LG Optimus Regard and the Samsung Galaxy S3.

LifeProof, maker of all-protective cases for smartphones and tablets, announced that it will soon case for the Samsung Galaxy S3 and for the Apple iPhone 5.

Sony Entertainment Network showcased the new PlayStation Store and the Music Unlimited cloud subscription service
