Fun Facts About Wandering Blade

  • Wandering Blade is voiced by Rita Ora
  • Wandering Blade's given name, Luthera, is of English origin and means "Army of the People.
  • Wandering Blade is described as a "no-nonsense" warrior who takes her knightly duties very seriously.
  • Wandering Blade's knighthood isn't historical inaccuracy, since women were not allowed to become knights in patriarchal Europe.

The idea of a new bear character is so exciting. We wanted to learn more about bears, so we visited The Bronx Zoo to see their Bears and the other animals we can see in Kung Fu Panda.

Since the weather was nice, the bears were out enjoying a swim in their lake while people watching. We got a great view of the them, while reading about bear habitat and fun facts including.

Fun Facts About Bears

  • There are only eight living species of bears and they can be found throughout most of the world.
  • The polar bear eats mostly meat and is classified as carnivores, while the panda feeds almost entirely on bamboo and is classified as a herbivore. The six other species of bear eat both plants and animals and are classified as omnivorous.
  • Brown bears have the largest range of any bear species. They live across North America, Euproe and Asian.
  • Even though bears are big and heavy, they can run very fast and are also good at climbing and swimming.
  • Bears have a large brain and are one of the more intelligent mammals.

While there's no weasels, The Bronz Zoo does have Cranes, Tigers, Ducks, Red Panda and many more animals. So we made sure to visit the different animal area including Red Panda, who Master Shifu is based on.

It was an educational and fun way to spend the days with friends. Now when we watch Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight, we'll enjoy it so much more!
