Powering the City & More NYSci Interactive Exhibits
The New York Hall of Science (NYSCI) welcomes back families as they re-open on Saturday, October 15 featuring a series of new, interactive exhibits including Powering the City and Human Plus.
- Powering the City: The exhibit, supported by National Grid and Con Edison, invites visitors, through a series of engaging and entertaining hands-on experiences, to discover how energy transforms and works to power our lives.
- Human Plus:Using real-life stories, this exhibition explores the ways in which different kinds of technologies can be used to supplement and enhance human abilities.
In addition, NYSCI’s 3-D theater will be screening Wings Over Water and Dinosaurs of Antarctica.
- Wings Over Water shares the epic journeys of three bird families in North America and explains how protecting their unknown “water highways” is vital to the environment.
- Dinosaurs of Antarctica gives viewers a look at the continent’s prehistoric days.
Museum and community leaders will be joined by New York native, NASA Astronaut and Scientist Dr. Jeanette Epps – an inspiration to children across New York and the country – to open the museum.
