Preview Nat Geo Beyond King Tut Immersive Experience
Beyond King Tut: The Immersive Experience has opened to NYC and take visitors on a journey into the world of King Tut—the young pharaoh of Egypt more than 3,000 years ago—and the discovery of his tomb and treasures in 1922.
Note: I was invited as media to preview the exhibit. However, any views expressed are always 100% my own.
I previewed the Beyond King Tut Experience and was amazed by the different sections that highlighted both King Tutankhamun himself and Egyptian culture and folklore.
You'll be totally surrounded by the experience as you walk through mazes with panels and virtual displays.
I was impressed that visitors can learn about King Tut as a boy growing up and ruling in Egypt, which included his hobbies and his family life. While he was a King, he still had to learn and play like other kids his age.
Visitors can also learn about his treasures and some of the symbolic meanings behind the designs and how they tie-in with Egyptian folklore and spiritual beliefs.
For a real deep dive into what was discovered in the tomb, visitors can take the VR Experience, was I really enjoyed. You get an up-close look at discovering the tomb, the treasures inside and King Tuts sarcophagus.
The whole Beyond King Tut Experience offers so much for those interested in Egyptian history and culture, along with the discover of King Tutankhamun tomb. We highly recommend!
