Apple Store CS Edu Week Kids Coding Lab Activity & Apps
In celebration of Computer Science Education Week (Dec 5-11), Apple Stores in NYC has new free coding session for kids, to learn to build an app at their local Apple Store.
Sessions begin Monday, December 5, as part of the free Today at Apple program. The new activity — Coding Lab for Kids: Code Your First App — is designed for participants ages 10+ to explore app development in a fun, welcoming environment.
This new session will resemble using the Swift Playgrounds app — Apple’s fun and easy-to-use app that now takes learners from their first line of code to their first app.
In this 60-minute session, you’ll be shown how to get started with coding using the Swift Playgrounds app. Bring your iPad or one will be provide.
Anyone, including families and groups, can find sessions nearby and register.
