Ole & Steen, Denmark’s all-day bakery, has opened a new Upper East Side location at 87th and Lexington, where you can enjoy their new croissant creations every Friday through the end of October.

Guess who was invited to see the new store and enjoy a special Friday treat?! Of course me!

My visit to the Ole & Steen Upper East Side location was a great way to end the week. The location has a calm atmosphere with lots of areas where you can sit and enjoy any of the tasty treats.


While there is a lot of delicious choices to enjoy, I was there specifically for the croissant creations! Once I found them, I was amazed at how stuffed with extra yumminess each of them are.


They're also very big, so there's lots to enjoy, even for two people. All the of croissant creations tasted so good, and offered something for different flavor fans.

My favorites are between the Lemon Meringue Cruffin and S’mores Croissant.

Formerly exclusive to Smorgasburg WTC, the treats available include:

• Lemon Meringue Cruffin: Croissant dough filled with a light lemon curd cream, and topped with a toasted lemon meringue
• S’mores Croissant: Nutella and marshmallow whip stuffed croissant dipped in chocolate and topped with graham crackers
• Cookie Croissant: Chocolate Chip Cookie stuffed croissant
• Almond Raspberry Croissant: Almond and raspberry jam filled croissant
