I received both Zatarain's Taco Rice and Creamy Blackened Chicken Rice mixes and was ready to try them out for a meal.

I noticed the rice mixes includes tips for keeping the meal veggie friendly. Which is nice for when you want a break from meats or sharing a meal with a vegetarian friend.


I used the Creamy Blackened Chicken Rice first because I like rice with a lot of flavor and this mixed offers a lot. Hello at home taste of New Orleans flavor!

As described, the rice mixes kept things simple. I just add water, add cooked chicken and let it cook. My meal was done quickly and ready to eat under 1 hour. Talk about easy quick tasty meal prep!
